View Full Version : headers and stock exhaust skitz 01-31-2009, 11:03 AM I want to install my headers today, would ssa headers be able to connect witht the stock exhaust? Ive had theses damn things for about a year and have not put them on yet. Is there anything else i should have or know before i statr? It will sound really bad having all of that pressure resonating through the restrictive factory dual exhaust. If you plan on having a catback soon I would get it out of the way, but until then I would leave the stock headers on. Also remove the front and rear motor mounts. That way the engine will rock forward or backward and give you LOTS of room to work. These steps will make life easier.. skitz 01-31-2009, 01:43 PM damn, thats some shit william 02-02-2009, 12:05 PM damn, thats some shit i didn't take my motor mounts off i just took my passenger side c.v. axle out...made things a lot quicker i am assuming you have a v6? if so do what 12sectib said. take ur ac compressor off and alt off. make sure you disconnect the battery before messing with the alt. (found out the hard way) and it tokk me about 5 hours to do mine. but its worth it (i already had cat-back) and just another f.y.i. the gaskets might come in different sizes (again found out the hard way) but good luck and don't get frustrated |
