Does anyone have a before and after StgIV Im Dyno graph?

No others changes made to the car only NGM IM and Tune??

Maybe Tc has any of his Stg4 graphs... He should include the graph with the product description pictures....

I gained average 15whp and about max of 17ish

No dyno, threw old ones out... but believe me it makes a significant difference on the top end, instead of falling it plateus or rises

I know it makes a difference on the top end. But its better to see the graph than to read a description. A Graph is more precise :)

I can't see the the Stage IV helping much at all until you open up the restrictions on the intake and exhaust sides. It would not be worth the money in my opinion until you have at least I/H/E completed as you won't notice a difference in performance without these supporting mods.

Ahah my bad, the first post made it seem like you were bone stock and looking at the stg 4.

Nah, Just looking for a a graph to see where the IM "corrects" the graphs...

i/h/e 70mm tb and HYDRA? hydra? wow, are you planning on some sort of f/i in the future?

Nope, N/A all the way!

interesting, are you planning on high cams or something? heads?

i thought the hydra was overkill for my current setup...

man we need some 12 sec n/a cars.

wonder what kind of pistons tc can make. 11/1 anyone?

Actually, its not my car, just a car that i'm setting up. The plan right now is Stg IV that comes in this month, Custom Cams (sorry, no cam card,Lol), you know the usual junk....

We're really not shooting up for anything, we'll let the everything go how it goes... No hopes!

WHAT???? come on, no cam specs? you going higher then .370 lift? what separation and duration you gonna be running? going to up the compression like 31bravo suggested? going to be doing heads?

darvo

EMS is not an overkill for a car meant to be raced, its a necessity...

I wont say anything that isnt done or proven on the engine yet...

i wouldnt consider the hydra a necessity... but to each their own.

also, theres no real harm in saying what you intend to do, whether or not it comes true or not. shit, i plan on buying a corvette within the next few years, havent done it yet, but i'm planning on it. anyways, good luck with the build, sorry i dont have a dyno graph for ya.

i'm sure it would still help b/c of the volume the plenum can hold.

anyway, there are many people who dynoed their stg. 4's. tc used to have sheets and threads on it all, but that was before this site came about.

on the dyno power drops off n/a around 5,200-5,800 if i remember right. the stage 4 brings that power up and it pulls strong all the way to redline.

so most people don't see much of a PEAK whp increase...maybe 3-5....BUT from after where the power starts dropping off is where the car just pulls 10x harder with the stg. 4. ppl make about 20whp+ more at redline with the stg. 4 on there than they did with the stock manifold..which is where you'll be when under WOT..in higher rpms. cam it, raise the limiter with an ecu reflash, and watch it pull even harder.

okay ill go ahead and call myself a retard. but what is the difference between the 8.8.1 and the 11.1 pistons.....i heard that the higher the compression ratio the more power you can make right? yes i am dumb i will say it for you
but please be as lamen as you can be

How did you run 14.2 1/4mile with just 90mph???

Did you use slicks??? What 60ft did you made?

darvo, he puts his 60' time and everything in the official timeslips thread ... i mean , your still gonna have question , but its there .

Darvo that is incorrect, I am running 10.23:1 flat top pistons with the Assassin. I am the only one running this setup right now. Well will be as soon as my engine is back in my car. LOL

The higher compression helps the SC run better and put down more power at lower PSI. But tuning needs to be watched and alcohol injection is a must to stop detention. But yes if you plan to run high psi around 20+ then 8.8:1 is needed.

Yeah, Ask T.C about Ruben's Sniper Customer from Puerto Rico... And i'm talking about the High Comp Pistons, not the race block!

okay another dumb question what is the difference between flat top and all the other pistons???

3DZer0
02-05-2009, 12:06 PM
Flat top pistons just that, flat on top, the stock pistons have a light dish to them.

The flat tops gives you 10.23:1 compression and the stock pistons give you 10:1 compression.

Most everyone except for 2 people are running the 8.8:1 compression pistons. Me and a guy in PR ... he is running the sniper .

okay...call me a retard but what is the difference between 10.23 and 10:1? is is that noticable. and im just wondering if i need to spend the money on pistons if im going to go .400 lift on my cams

Ross already had a set of 11.0:1 pistons for the tib, not sure if they are still available or if they were made for a custom setup but I don't think I've seen any cars with them used.
