I'm going to be purchasing these Nitto NT NeoGen ZR size 235/40ZR-18 95W BLK. Now I know what the 235/40ZR-18 means but just out of curiousity what does the 95W BLK mean? It's prolly something stupid and I'll feel retarded after someone tells me, but it's a learning process.

I bet BLK means they are black. Not sure about 95

95W is the tires speed rating.
It means it can handle speeds up to 168mph without problems.

Of course though.... dont test em out like that.

And imo.... Neo Gens are garbage.
Very noisy tires and dont hook worth a fuck.

Many people I have seen with then on there car have uneven wear. They are supposed to be designed for lowered cars with camber problems but they do have desent road noise and seem sloppy cuz the compound is to hard.

Cool let me know cause those were a second choice. As far as everyone else, what do you recommen, in Jersey we see all kinds of temps all year long, never a constant.

95 is the load rating... which I think is a bit high/for a heavier car... but hey, I am no expert on tires

95 W is the speed rating, Load range is determined in alphabetical characters A-E (street tire to trailer radial)

I know I said I was getting wheels for my new rim and all but I have a dilema. I need new tires for my stockers now because I don't think they will last long enough til I get my new wheels and tires. I was taking the trash out today and looked at my front passenger and noticed it has a large bubble on the side and the bubble is cracking and is dry rotting. I was think about going with the Sumitomo HTR+ ultra high performance all season tires for $77 a piece. I figure if I get these I'll have some decent tires for the winter time. It's a small set back on my budget for new wheels and tires but hey I got 30K miles out of the stock ones so I can't complain too much.

i used kumho's ecsta mx great price low/no noise great traction.... never ran them as an "all season" though......maybe replace your stock wheels with a good all around all season and your rims a grippy summer tread

I used to run Zexus something or others for my all seasons, they were pretty good.

hey, just looked it up again, and the # is the load rating in lbs/tire... so our ride uses 87... tires usually, and the 95 is a higher weight capacity tire. don't want to beat a dead horse, but I AM RIGHT AGAIN biotches! HA Ha!

That's what I was running. I just upgraded to the Hankook rs-2 tires and they are a little bit better. I have also ran the nitto's and these are better hands down. Either way get the mx's or the rs-2's and you will be very happy.
